Sadgurudev Siyag was born in a poor farmer's family in Palana village of Bikaner district in Rajasthan. Since he lost his father at a very young age, he had to struggle hard to survive and study. After completing his school, he got a job as a clerk in Indian Railways. He says that he did not have much time to devote to spiritual practice till the circumstances forced him to do Gayatri Mantra sadhna in navratri of 1968. This dedicated sadhna culminated in a powerful experience in the early morning of 1st January of 1969, when he experienced that his entire body was suffused with divine light - the light of a million Suns - and he heard a buzzing sound emanating from his navel. As he concentrated on this sound he realised that the Gayatri Mantra was being repeated a hundred times per minute. This experience brought him into oneness with the Supreme Being, however, only later he was told by learned people that he had acquired the Gayatri Siddhi. In Indian Philosophy, this is known as 'Nirgun Niraakar Siddhi'.
This divine experience made him inclined towards spiritualism and after reading Swami Vivekanand, he began to search for an able Guru to guide him further. However, none could match his expectations till he came across Baba Gangainath Ji Yogi, an ascetic from Nath sect, based at Jamsar, near Bikaner in 1983. Baba's blessings and spiritual initiation led Shri Siyag to Krishna Siddhi in 1984. This is termed as 'Sagun Saakar Siddhi' (Attainment of Positively Qualified Supreme Being) in Indian Philosophy.
Therefore, he acquired both Nirgun Niraakar and Sagun Saakar siddhis without any conscious effort or desire in a very innocent way. Because of attainment of both these siddhis by Guru Siyag, seekers who meditate on his image, without receiving initiation, can also experience awakened Kundalini Shakti in their body.
It was for the first time that both these siddhis could be attained by one person, in one life, in one body. In the Indian tradition, there are innumerable examples of spiritual seekers attaining either the 'Sagun Saakar Siddhi' or the 'Nirgun Niraakar Siddhi' in their life. Attainment of either of these results in Moksha (salvation) after death but NONE of them could attain both the siddhis in one life, which could have led to Moksha before death or 'terrestrial immortality' as referred to by Sri Aurobindo.
Having fulfilled this most unique condition, Guru Siyag has made it his mission to bring Divine Transformation to all Human Beings. Every person irrespective of his/her religion, caste, nationality can receive spiritual initiation from Guru Siyag. All his initiation ceremonies are open to all, conducted in public and are absolutely free. There is no direct or indirect fee being charged for Diksha.
