व नाथ सम्प्रदाय) के प्रारम्भक आदिनाथ सदाशिव गोरक्षनाथ हैं।बारह पंथ भी नाथ
सम्प्रदाय सम्बन्धित होने से शिव गोरक्षनाथ ही इनके मूल आचार्य हैं लेकिन फिर भी
जब जब जो पंथ जिस समय जिस सिद्ध योगी द्वारा अधिक प्रतिष्ठित एंव प्रभावित हुआ
उसके प्रभाव के सम्बन्ध से भी कुत्रचित् उसकी प्रासि‍‍द्धि के नाम से भी वह पंथ
बोला जाता है।</div>

में आया। गुरु गोरख नाथ के आशीर्वाद से नेपाल राजवंश के संस्थापक पृथ्वीनारायण शाह
देव ने बाईसी और चौबीसी नाम से बँटी 46 छोटी-छोटी रियासतों को संगठित कर नेपाल की
स्थापना की थी। नेपाल के राजमुकुट, मुद्रा पर गुरु गोरक्षनाथ का नाम और उनकी चरण
पादुका अंकित है।<o:p></o:p></div>

गुरु गोरखनाथजी के नाम से ही नेपाल के गोरखाओं ने नाम पाया। नेपाल का गोरखा जिले का नाम भी भी गुरु गोरखनाथ के नाम पर ही पड़ा। गुरु गोरखनाथ सबसे पहले यहीं दिखे थे। यहां एक गुफा है, जहां गोरखनाथ का पग चिह्न है और उनकी एक मूर्ति भी है। यहां हर साल वैशाख पूर्णिमा को एक उत्सव मनाया जाता है जिसे रोट महोत्सव कहते हैं और यहां मेला भी लगता है।</div>

सिद्धयोग, योग के दर्शन पर आधारित है जो कई हजार वर्ष पूर्व प्राचीन ऋषि मत्स्येन्द्रनाथ जी ने प्रतिपादित  
किया तथा एक अन्य ऋषि पातंजलि ने इसे लिपिबद्ध कर नियम बनाये जो ‘योगसूत्र‘ के नाम से जाने जाते हैं। 
 पौराणिक कथा के अनुसार मत्स्येन्द्रनाथ जी पहले व्यक्ति थे जिन्होंने इस योग को हिमालय में कैलाश पर्वत 
 पर निवास करने वाले शास्वत सर्वोच्च चेतना के साकार रूप भगवान शिव से सीखा था। ऋषि को, इस ज्ञान  
को मानवता के मोक्ष हेतु प्रदान करने के लिये कहा गया था। ज्ञान तथा विद्वता से युक्त यह योग गुरू शिष्य 
 परम्परा में समय-समय पर दिया जाता रहा है।</div>

इस युग का मानव भौतिक विज्ञान से शान्ति चाहता है परन्तु विज्ञान ज्यों-ज्यों विकसित होता जा रहा है,  
वैसे-वैसे शान्ति दूर भाग रही है और अशान्ति तेज गति से बढती जा रही है। क्योंकि शान्ति का सम्बन्ध  
अन्तरात्मा से है, अतः विश्व में पूर्ण शान्ति मात्र वैदिक मनोविज्ञान के सिद्धान्तों पर ही स्थापित हो सकती है। 
 अन्य कोई पथ है ही नहीं। भारतीय योग दर्शन में वर्णित “सिद्धयोग” से विश्व शान्ति के रास्ते की सभी
